Lifewise team Valerie

Valerie Farragher : Lifewise Client Experience Expert

Valerie is passionate about helping people with alcohol misuse problems. She  has gone public on her own problems with alcohol appearing on TV and radio. She founded New Choices, a Home based Alcohol Detox and Recovery Support service which provides services locally in Co. Mayo.
She is the author of the book “Come back when you’re sober”. A Community activist, she is a director of Ballinrobe radio station. Valerie is the voice of Lifewise and ensures all our content and materials are relevant and interesting for all of our clients.
Originally qualified as a preschool assistant, Valerie has since completed Fetac level 5/6 courses in Community addiction studies, mental health as well as video production and E-business. For more information on Valerie, please click here.

Lifewise team Angela

Angela Moore: Lifewise Client Operations Director

Angela has huge experience working as a counsellor helping people with mental health and substance misuse difficulties. She has an honours degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy  and a certificate  in community drug addiction studies. She is a member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. (IACP). Through Dual Diagnosis Ireland and her own counselling practise, Angela has been supporting clients for many years. Angela believes we need to make it as easy as possible for people to access services and treat people holistically rather than putting labels on them.
Angela is responsible for ensuring all clients are happy with Lifewise, managing and supporting our coaches to make sure they deliver a great service.

Lifewise team Carol

Carol Moore : Lifewise CEO

Carol has considerable experience of the health care sector, acting as chief executive in a number of health care service providers. She is a fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland with a strong track record of implementing change in a wide range of sectors.  Carol has post graduate qualifications in social science, education, psychometrics, a masters in psychology and is a qualified mediator. In August 2013, she was appointed by the Minister for Health, to the Social Workers Registration Board of CORU, the state agency responsible for regulating allied health professionals. As a patient herself with an auto immune illness since she was a teenager she has an excellent understanding of the patient’s viewpoint and is a  patient educator for trainee doctors in UCD medical school. Carol is responsible for all aspects of our operations that Valerie and Angela do not cover.
